Luisa Ayala is an Architectural Designer and an Artist based in Toronto, Canada; born in Caracas, Venezuela. She received a Bachelor of Architecture at Universidad Central de Venezuela, and subsequently a Canadian equivalent diploma issued by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board.

Her architectural work has been accomplished in association with several firms in Canada including Architecture Counsel Inc., Carson Woods Architects Ltd., Stanford Downey Architects, McMillan Associates Architects, API Development Consultants & Saplys Architects Inc., Allan Rae Architect Inc., and KORP Interior Design in Venezuela. Her collaborative work includes the design of a variety of custom homes, condominiums, brand hotels across Canada & USA, healthcare facilities, recreational hubs, energy plants, and several airports including Quito International Airport.

Luisa's art practice is defined as an infinite exploration of creativity expressed in a wide variety of media, a continuing exercise that balances her architectural endeavor. Building tridimensional objects, watercolour, as well as video & photography, are her main media of expression. She also designs and leads educational art programs to stimulate creativity and to embrace the participation of communities into art exhibitions and festivals. 

Her volunteer work has included structuring and developing collaborative art work for residents of Street Havens Emergency Shelter in Toronto along with Pulp reclaimed materials Art & Design, and Architecture for Humanity.

In her spare time, she enjoys outdoors activities, explorative walks and sports.
